Business Boeing Jet – Boeing has unveiled a new line of business jets that will allow VIP travelers to fly nonstop between “any two cities on Earth.”
BBJ 777X aircraft will have a range of 11,645 nautical miles (21,570 km), allowing them to offer the longest commercial flight in the world.

Depending on where the planes are used, the new models mean Boeing could beat Airbus to the crown for long-haul non-stop travel.

Earlier this year, Singapore Airlines resumed a 17-hour flight between London and Singapore with an Airbus A350-900 ULR (Ultra-Long Range).
But the distance traveled on the record flights is only 9,000 nautical miles (16,700 kilometers), which puts it below the range that Boeing’s new planes can travel.
The planes “can fly more than half the world non-stop, further than any business jet ever built,” the company said in a statement.

The flights can be used to connect New York and Perth in Western Australia, which currently requires a connection and takes more than a day.
Two versions of the aircraft were built, the BBJ 777-8 and 777-9, the latter offering a slightly shorter range of 11,000 nautical miles (20,370 kilometers) but boasting a larger cabin.
Although the company has yet to sell any of the planes, it has released an interior view of the aircraft.

“It makes a big difference,” says Jonah Adler, chief revenue officer of Van Nuys, Calif.-based private jet management. “Otherwise, you have an owner who says, ‘I don’t want dogs, or I don’t want to serve red wine, or I don’t want that trip or those dates because I might need a plane.’ In the end, the plane is never available to the people who want it when they need it.”
According to Adler, the two BBJs joining the Jet Edge fleet are both owned by undeclared UHNWs, which allow them to be offered to the on-demand charter market without the usual notices and owner approval.
Additionally, since the owner does not plan to use any of the aircraft personally, the aircraft will be floatable, which in business aviation terminology means that they do not need to return to their home base after each trip. Many owners who allow their aircraft to be leased still prefer to have them where they live so that they are available when needed.
Between trips, BBJs can be completed at Jet Edge bases in New York, South Florida, or California. This means lower, or in some cases no, relocation costs. While Jet Edge did not specify pricing, Adler estimates that one-way between New York and Los Angeles will cost about $100,000 and $160,000 round-trip.

That may seem like a lot of money, but a lot depends on why you’re flying in the first place. Its first BBJ features 16 club seats, each with electronic recline and full leg rest, divided into three cabins, each with lighting controls. With a radius of 6,200 nautical miles, enough to fly non-stop from Los Angeles to Tokyo or New York to Helsinki, BBJ will appeal to global travelers, perhaps for a multi-generational family safari or a boys’ trip to Scotland for golf and fishing.
The BBJ can land anywhere a typical 737 can be installed, meaning a wide range of airports. However, unlike most large-cabin private jets, which typically seat 14 to 16, even when fully loaded, the BBJ feels like you’re in a large apartment. The booth is seven feet high and 10 and a half feet wide, and the aisles are big enough to hold a dance party.

“When you’re putting more than 12, 13 or 14 people in a large-cabin private jet, it’s not optimal,” says Adler. He notes that it is not unusual for clients to charter two large-cabin aircraft when there are large numbers of passengers. However, it does involve logistics, especially for foreign travel, as well as overseeing who flies on which plane, making sure special catering orders are properly loaded, and other things that happen in the aviation environment. For example, one plane takes off and the other is 10 minutes behind schedule and ATC is stuck in the hold on the ground. Adler believes BBJ will be popular for road shows, movie studios, special occasions, going to major sporting events with friends, as well as UHNW retreats. “Think about seven or eight couples who want to go together in the same place or for a large family,” he says.
Each of the BBJs underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation last year, including the installation of high-speed Wi-Fi, a state-of-the-art entertainment and sound system with Gogo Vision streaming movies, and high-temperature convection ovens. And Private aimed at personal use. According to Berryman, the aesthetics of both concepts focus on a combination of tans, browns and beiges to give the aircraft a warm, luxurious feel without being too bold.
The Executive concept offers open space and 12 convertible workstations that double as beds. “We spent a lot of time on the flexibility of spaces, things that can serve three of the four purposes in one visit, and multifunctional spaces that are easy to convert,” Berryman told the Robb Report.
In the front of the Executive cabin there is an open lounge with seating for 12, integrated printers and televisions. There is also a toilet and a small kitchen at the front of the plane.

Another large meeting area extends towards the middle of the plane, with a long couch facing two swivel chairs and a coffee table. A combination of textures, leather and suede mixed with wall art and plants give the space an elegant, cozy feel.
