You will find the business search engine in the center of the page. At the top of the tool, you’ll see three radio buttons titled “Corporation Name,” “LP/LLC Name,” and “Entity Name.” You will want to do two individual searches for both corporations and LP/LLC entities.
Choose the most appropriate search type based on the information you have about the business you are researching.
If you are searching for a corporation by entity number, you must enter the letter “C” followed by the seven-digit entity number.
If you are searching for an LP or LLC by entity number, you only need to enter the 12-digit entity number.
