Students are required to complete 36 hours of coursework. As a primary option, internships are strongly encouraged for all pre-service students. Internships are usually done after the student has completed 18 credit hours. Scholarships are only open to students with a grade point average of no less than 3.0.

What Is The Mpa Degree: Everything You Need To Know
If your transcript does not reflect a grade of “C” or higher in the US Government and Research Methods courses, you will be required to take these courses before or during undergraduate enrollment.
Applicants with prior grades of “F” or “D” at the graduate level in any graduate program will not be admitted to the A-State MPA program. In addition, students who receive a failing grade (“F”) in the A-State MPA program are not eligible for readmission to the program. The exception is for the Pillar Stone.
Up to 9 graduate hours from A-State or other institutions of higher education may be shown in the program. No course can be longer than six years at the time of graduation. Transfer credits will be evaluated by the Program Director. To request pre-credit evaluation, please complete the Graduate Transfer Evaluation Form.
Students pursuing this must complete 36 credit hours, which include the required courses (as required), MPA courses (21 hours) and Public Management follow-up courses (15 hours) listed below.
