Rotary Club Holds Meeting On ‘prosperity Through Power’

I still need special help on Sunday. I had a few help on Saturday but not much on Sunday and it’s the best day to see who wins.

Finally, I am holding the role of Secretary General and will therefore sit at the head of the event. I would love it if someone could sit next to me and keep me company and just keep me on track to make sure I’m following the program and also give feedback A little quiet.

The program is almost complete now and the event will start from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Saturday and 9.00 am to 3.45 pm on Sunday. Therefore, volunteers will have morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided to them. On Saturday, I plan to start registration at 8.15am so that we can start taking them to the room at 8.45am to 9.00am.

District Governor, Dale Hoy will open the event and we will have a guest speaker after lunch but this has not been finalized yet.

September 17, 2020

So I close with the same words as I opened. Please help. (If you have children, family or friends who you think would like to help, that would be great too)

RIMERN has been awarded the Centenary of Rotary in Australia Grant for $25,000 from the wonderful Rotary Club of Balwyn to enable us to buy our own VAN!! This is fantastic news and we are delighted to thank Rotary Balwyn for their generosity! We will soon be swooping on more free stuff and giving more orders… WOO HOO!

Volunteering at RIMERN is life changing, it’s local, it’s flexible & most importantly fun! If you haven’t, please raise your hand, if you have, please go again.

Rotary Joke Of The Week

The need for our help is growing and RIMERN is one way we can make a difference at a low cost.

Brattleboro Rotary Club Weekly Bulletin (may 14, 2020)

Zara was joined by Loretta Drago, Lyn Kirkham and Thanuja Kothalawala. The members of our club and the 4 representatives of the Mother’s Day Classic have developed a very good relationship and it is clear that our members are more than happy that we supported them by doing their BBQ and they seemed happy that they had us as part of their team on the day

Zara has provided interesting information and facts that show how important the Mother’s Day Classic is. We study 1 in 7 women diagnosed with breast cancer (and 1 in 700 men) and the results of research that they have received to support survival.

Please remember that you attend our next meeting on Thursday 9 June 2022 from 6.45 to 7.00 pm when our membership will increase from 17 to 20.

This is a great boost for our club as we know we need members and to have these 3 will probably reduce the average age of our members by 10 years.

Rotary Thailand Magazine January February 2022 By Rotary Centre In Thailand

We have for a long time pointed out the diversity of our club with members from all over the world and from about 10 different countries. Well with the new inductions we were able to add another 2 countries with Roman from Ukraine and Reshma from Nepal. Good to see a good turnout for what is always a slow start to the year, for our first meeting Talk of the year in a very bad morning. at Alex Beach. Welcome guests Charmaine and Karen, and apologies received from Wallis (WA) and Graeme (trying to get to Tassie) while Sean takes advantage of the school holidays to grab a the brekky wrap.

Not sure what happened in Wendy’s apartment block but clearly some high jinks of the “oldies” involving balloons and unknown visitors in the bathroom. (??) and our wonderful manager spent a good amount of time talking about Engineers jokes that involve frogs and the behavior of engineers. Unfortunately this led a writer to riposte with risqué jokes involving the current President and former US President and his wife, images that have been sad very stuck in my brain.

Also the police meeting is a bit of a revelation with sergeant Craig packing a lot of pockets. Looks like January will be an expensive month!

Much of the discussion revolved around the 100th Anniversary of Rotary in Australia and plans to mark the anniversary with a gala dinner and a statue.

Wellington Rotary Bulletin March 16, 2021 (revised) (mar 15, 2021)

We are very lucky to have in the club a member who is not only a good guy, but an amazing designer and proud Rotarian.

So Steve put together this idea that was accepted by the club and was presented to the District and other Rotary Clubs in the area as a suggestion for putting it into one public space to recognize all the great Rotary clubs in the area and their achievements.

The club has had some preliminary discussions with the Public Art Commission, and will receive an application for a statue in the Sunshine Coast public park shortly.

The sculpture and the kit are all important to ALL Sunshine Coast Rotary clubs, which Steve is covering in a short talk.

Alex Rotary is a two-time ROMAC trivia quiz champion so the editor thought he would get the quiz neurons fired by giving away a free Alex SLSC breakfast to the first person to get this simple quiz. correctly…

During the break we were delighted to hear from D9800 in Victoria Rotary who are developing a Project Ideas Bank Service to help Clubs identify, evaluate and implement Projects New Work.

They wrote to the club after hearing about the “Working Life Program” and incorporated it into their plans in the District.

The Program has now been “rolled out” to all states in Australia by “Rotary Down Under” including the UK, and Alaska.

He’s got some great stories about how Rotarians get their jobs, and great tips on what to do and prepare for at work.

Events around the world and last week in America remind us how lucky we are in Australia in terms of health and peace.

Many in our community may know about the work that Rotary does in health, (polio, Malaria etc.) but may not know about the important work that Rotary does with peace , and promote healthy (non-segregated) communities.

Here is a snip from Rotary International, and don’t forget the world famous Rotary Peace Fellowship at the University of Queensland. Another sign that Fall is near here: the generator near Picton The Beer Store has announced the closure for Highway 49 at the Bay. on the Quinte Skyway Bridge from 9:00 pm on Tuesday March 16 to 6:00 am on Wednesday March 17. This overnight closure will be repeated next week.

Last week’s appeal to the Club by Dina Bakhit and Carl Eggiman for essential materials for the Lebanon Strong Campaign met with great success. Many members donated items that Michelle Kosoy will deliver to Dina’s warehouse at the beginning of the week. Also, the new member in the future, Shawn Ellis, arranged for 16 hospitals in Hallowell House to be acquired by Carl Eggiman. These beds, plus many other medical and firefighting items received from Carl will fill the box to 80% capacity.

Below are photos of a number of our Club members showing their wives in Rotary pins that former District Governor Mary Lou Harrison presented to our female members.

To explore the impact of the global pandemic and the public health response, and to understand where we stand today in Ontario, Toronto Bay-Bloor hosted an exhibition virtual with Dr. David L. Mowat, former Minister of Health, Ontario and former Deputy Minister of Health, National Health Service Canada (PHAC). The meeting will have limited attendance – please RSVP and send questions by March 15 to: [email protected].

President Howard opened the meeting at 7.07 with more than thirty people present and on Zoom, and welcomed Sean Ellis on his second visit to the Club.
