Do you have a knack for crunching numbers and want to gain software-related industry experience to help launch your career?

Accounting, Master Of Business Administration

As a Business Administration – Accounting (Co-op) graduate, you will have the knowledge and industry experience required to open doors to a successful professional accounting or financial management career.

Applications are assessed based on published admission requirements. When the applicant provides proof of fulfillment of the requirements, an offer of admission can be made, provided there is an available place in the programme. In the event that the number of qualified applicants exceeds the available places – selection will be based on the final grade at the highest level available in compulsory subjects at the time of ranking. Midterm grades are not used for ranking purposes. Testing or other supplementary evaluation may be necessary.

Students are responsible for ensuring that they have a Microsoft Windows 10-based desktop or laptop system that meets or exceeds the following general personal computer technology requirements:

Niagara College will not be able to provide support for systems other than the specifications above. Any software supplied may not work as it should. Academic software for your courses (supported under the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system) will be made available for download and remote use. Access will also be provided to external high performance computer labs if software downloads are not possible.

Business Administration Vs. Finance Degree: Comparing The Differences

The technology requirements indicate that there is no support for Chromebooks or Apple products. Can I still take my program if I have a Macbook or Chromebook?

For most programs, the recommendation is to have an MS Windows 10 computer (as described in the “Computer/Technology Requirements” section of this page) for an optimal experience and for ease of downloading academic software. The reliability of external connections to college computers and software cannot be guaranteed for Macbook and Chromebook users.

Have versions that work with Macbooks and Chromebooks, and the majority of internet-based applications will work as well. However, some application-specific software is designed to run on Windows 10, and successful download of these applications cannot be guaranteed. Our learning management system (LMS) at Niagara College is Blackboard, and while students can access Blackboard via a web browser, for some assignments and tests a security team uses a web browser that is monitored. The supervised browser will not work on Macbooks or Chromebooks.

Students assume the risk of a compromised virtual experience if they choose to participate without the recommended technology.
